THE STORY
(so far)

Max Zampieri is an internationally award-winning filmmaker driven by the timeless desire to tell stories that matter.

As the founder of Frame And Verse, he brings more than 15 years of experience across documentary, branded content, advertising, and music videos. Raised between cultures and trained in both film theory and hands-on cinematography, Max romanticizes the creative process while embracing the tension between commerce and art. He believes film has the power to make invisible systems emotionally legible, to capture the ephemera of life while asking deeper questions about responsibility, ambition, and stewardship.

His documentary Roots of Renewal (Webby Honorable Mention) explored the tension between regenerative philosophy and modern agriculture, while Railroaded examined power, public land, and accountability. His projects have been recognized by the Webby Awards, Telly Awards, MTV Awards, ADDYs, and festivals around the world.

Whether crafting a 30-minute documentary or shaping a campaign built for scale, Frame And Verse approaches each project with curiosity, restraint, and a refusal to flatten nuance into slogans. The goal is simple, if not easy: make films that matter.

TESTIMONIALS

Frame and Verse is my go-to production partner for everything from scrappy shoots where I need an ace Director/DP/Editor rolled into one… to big budget, high stakes video projects that require an elevated creative vision and endless patience and flexibility. Max is the most collaborative and talented Director I’ve ever worked with, and he’s been saving my ass on countless productions since 2019!

-Jennifer Brennan, Senior Creative Producer at The Washington Post Creative Group

Max is one of THE great collaborators. You know you’re going to end up with a gorgeous and creative final product, but the story-finding along the way is the true differentiator. Regardless of the subject (and I mean any subject), Max is going to help you find the heart of the story in a way that truly connects with your audience. And then he’s got the vision and the production chops to bring that story to life with beauty and soul.

-Tuck Satterfield, Brand & Content Strategy Director at IBM

Max took what felt like a whirlwind of ideas—our messy, passionate brain dump—and shaped it into something luminous. What we handed him was raw and unformed; what he gave back was a film with heart, clarity, and quiet power. It was more beautiful and more moving than I ever thought possible.

Throughout the process, Max was both a steady compass and a creative force. He listened deeply, asked the right questions, and translated our hopes into images and moments that resonated far beyond the screen. Even as a newcomer to filmmaking, I felt completely at ease—every step was thoughtfully guided, clearly communicated, and infused with care.

He met each new request not with frustration, but with patience and imagination, weaving our many ideas into a cohesive story without ever losing sight of its emotional core.

Working with Max was not only easy, but genuinely fun and inspiring.

-Florence Reed, Founder and Chief Entrepreneur at Mandela

You know, when you’re working with Max… you really feel it. The focus. The discipline. The hours. The dedication. Day after day. Shot after shot. Frame and Verse keeps you locked in. Keeps you sharp. Keeps you going. It’s all fun and no work. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the axe in the edit suite.
